OMXH 25 Index components | values (FI0008900212)

The OMX Helsinki 25 (OMXH25, formerly HEX 25) is a Finnish stock index. It comprises the 25 largest companies on the OMX Helsinki Stock Exchange.

Like the German DAX stock index, the OMX Helsinki 25 is a performance index, with the dividends from the stocks contained in the OMXH25 being reinvested in the index. The Finnish stock exchange supervisory authority decides on the composition. The OMXH25 has always included the 25 most traded stocks on the OMX Helsinki Stock Exchange, measured by the daily median of trading volumes on a half-year basis. The calculation is updated every second during OMX trading hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CET.

The composition is checked every six months and the weighting is checked quarterly, the latter being based on market capitalization. A special feature of the index is its relatively restrictive cap with a share of 10 percent. This is to ensure that individual companies do not exert a dominant influence. For this reason, large Finnish companies such as Nokia, the utility Fortum and the insurance company Sampo are represented with shares of exactly 10 percent.
