Cardinal Financial Corporation is a financial holding company. The Company owns Cardinal Bank (the Bank), which is a state-chartered community bank with 27 banking offices located in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, District of Columbia metropolitan area. The Bank offers a range of traditional bank loan and deposit products and services to both its commercial and retail customers. It complements its core banking operations by offering services through its subsidiaries, including mortgage banking through George Mason Mortgage, LLC and Cardinal First Mortgage, LLC, collectively the mortgage banking segment; retail securities brokerage through Cardinal Wealth Services, Inc., asset management through Wilson/Bennett Capital Management, Inc. and trust, estate, custody, investment management and retirement planning through the trust division of Cardinal Bank. It operates in three business segments: commercial banking, mortgage banking and wealth management and trust services.
