THE COMPANY

 

Ryanair operates an ultra-low fare, scheduled airline serving short-haul, point-to-point routes largely in Europe from 84 bases to airports across Europe, which together are referred to as “Ryanair’s bases.” For a list of these bases, see “Item 4. Information on the Company—Route System, Scheduling and Fares.” Ryanair pioneered the low-fares air travel model in Europe in the early 1990s. As of June 30, 2016, the Company offered over 2,000 short-haul flights per day serving over 200 airports largely across Europe, with a fleet of more than 350 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
