SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES builds innovative machines and plants for efficient and resource-saving production processes. The strategy of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES is to use and expand existing core competencies.
The core competencies include coating technology, surface treatment, wet chemistry and thermal process processes. The company offers machines that are used worldwide in the fields of solar, semiconductor technology, medical technology, consumer goods and optical disc. For all machines, processes and applications, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES uses the know-how in the areas of automation and process technology.
In detail, the activities in the consumer goods sector were combined in the Optical DISC segment and in the Medical Technology segment in the Solar segment.
In the Solar segment, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES offers machines for the production of crystalline solar cells as well as for thin-film solar cells based on copper-indium-gallium-diselenide (CIGS and cadmium telluride (CdTe) vacuum coating systems as well as systems for thermal processes and systems for wet-chemical treatment The field of crystalline silicon solar cells includes production solutions for high-performance cell concepts such as HJT (heterojunction), IBC (Interdated Back Contact), PERC (Passivated Emitter Rear Cell) and PERT (High-Efficiency Passivated Emitter, Rear Totally Diffused Cell) SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES also sells complete production lines for crystalline silicon solar cells in this segment.
After SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES had made the strategic decision to enter the market for medical technology in advance, in November of the 2017 financial year, it was able to sign a first order with a renowned customer for wet-chemical plants. In the future, both wet-chemical processing plants and vacuum coating plants will be offered in this sector.
The Optical Disc segment offers machines for the production of the well-known Optical DISC formats (CD DVD, dual-layer Blu-ray Discs and Ultra HD Blu-ray Discs with up to 100 GB storage capacity). The plant program is supplemented by the worldwide spare parts and service business.
For the consumer goods sector, the integrated DECOLINE II production line as well as the POLYCOATER inline vacuum sputtering system have been developed in recent years.
In the Semiconductor segment, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES offers modular ultra-high vacuum equipment platforms with the brand names TIMARIS and ROTARIS for coating wafers with complex functional layers.
