Description of the company
The KSB Group (KSB SE & Co. KGaA, SE and limited partnership limited by shares) is a manufacturer of pumps and valves based in Frankenthal (Pfalz). The Group is represented worldwide with its own sales companies, production facilities and service companies.
In the KSB Group, centrifugal pumps account for around two-thirds of sales. They are sold as well as shut-off valves to plant builders, OEMs and end customers and partly brought to the market via dealers. The same applies to control, regulation and monitoring systems as well as compact systems with pumps and valves.
The most developed market for these products is Europe; Here, KSB maintains its most important production facilities in Germany and France. The KSB parent plant in Frankenthal is the largest European plant in front of the production sites in Pegnitz (Bavaria), Halle (Saxony-Anhalt) and La Roche-Chalais (France).
The second most important market is KSB products in Asia, followed by America / Oceania and the Middle East / Africa region. Outside of Europe, the largest KSB plants are in Brazil, China, India and the USA.
Overall, KSB manufactures products and components in 16 countries; The distribution takes place via own companies and representations in more than 100 states. The Group companies use their products to serve customers in the industry, including chemicals and petrochemicals, in energy supply, construction, in the manufacture and operation of means of transport (eg ships and rail vehicles), in water and sanitation, and in mining. The strongest market segments in 2016 were again the industry and the energy supply.
